Here is a picture recap of the past week: Pinned again. Don't be fooled by her size. She's 8 lbs of fury. It was my night to cook dinner so I whipped up some stir fry. Brian took a bite and asked what spices I used. I told him it was white pepper, cayenne pepper, and chili powder. He then asked how much of each I used. I told him I didn't know so I simulated shaking in the spices for each one: about 6-7 shakes per spice. Except that I felt moved to add a second dose of the white pepper, so about 11 shakes of that one. Our noses were running and then he looked at me and whispered, "I don't think I can do it". I ate my whole helping and then ate the left-overs all week. I guess I needed a good cleansing of my sinuses. I was getting my weekly dose of The Bachelorette and saw a commercial for the upcoming season of "Bachelor Pad"...Oh.My.Goodness. He's baaaaaack. I feel like he's drinking the same koolaid as Charlie Sheen. Wow. Just my cute kitt

July 18-19, 2011

I confess that I don't have any pictures from the last couple days, instead I would like to share a few things I've noticed since turning 30: 1. My hip flexors are very stiff and they get sore easily 2. My arms fall asleep while I sleep a lot more than usual 3. Whenever I feel an exorbitant amount of feeling about something, I literally shiver. The shivering has surfaced on the following occasions: When I saw a snake on my walk with Stella While listening to the Longmont Symphony during the 1812 Overture when the canons went off When I found an earwig on my wall When I saw the Harry Potter preview During the intense lightning and thunder storms recently When Brian told me the government may collapse and we could end up farmers

The computer has been occupado lately. Brian was upgrading to Windows 7 and he's also been on the computer for what feels like weeks researching how to ditch cable and still get to watch the shows we like. That's my excuse for not posting any pictures for a while and thus begins the recap: Firstly, we have been pounded daily with torrential downpours and some of the craziest thunder & lightning I have seen in a long time. Despite the anxiety the storms have caused in my soul, they have produced some amazing rainbows (which I've been reminded are hard to capture). Many of which have been double rainbows which only makes Brian and I yelp & wail and ask, "What does it mean?" In other news, one of my tomatoes turned red! I don't eat straight up tomatoes but Brian said it was delicious. What I'm learning from my teeny little garden is that the supply does not match the demand. Last weekend I had Brian come with me to Boulder to check out A Paris St. Ma

The past few days have been full of activity so I feel like I can make up for my lack of pictures lately with a plethora of them for you from this weekend. The theme words for this weekend are: Summer-breeze (cue Seals & Crofts) and water. On Saturday we slept in and then decided to go hiking in Cache La Poudre canyon with Mt. McConnell as our goal. Remember how I said we slept in? That meant we didn't get started until about 2pm and I suddenly remembered why people always recommend you hike early and nap later. It was HOT. Each of us brought one water bottle and I threw in a third since I knew I'd have to share with Stella. We had consumed 2 of those bottles before we even got to the top. Kind of scary and kind of frustrating in the midst of my desire to drink an entire lake. Our hearing started to go and sweat was literally falling off of me in streams. However, when we turned a bend and saw this view, it all became worth it. even Stella was smiling happy to be on our way

June 24- July 1, 2011: I feel like this picture sums up the past week. This is a nice hairball that Chuck left for me right by my pillow (I spared you a close-up) and I didn't even have the energy to really care. Things at work have been busy which means I've done a whole lot of talking = an exhausted Jaime. BUT, it's Friday and I have a 3 day weekend. P.S. here's my favorite moment from today: Student worker: I have a joke, what's a pirate's favorite letter? Co-worker: P? or maybe F because they have flags? For those of you who are lost, their favorite letter is R, duh Anywho, that made my day. And with that, I'm off to the gym.
