May 31, 2011: Brian put painters tape on the chandelier to help him stop bumping his head on it but that didn't even register on his radar so he had to put a chair there to keep him from walking in the vicinity. Chuck thought that was the. best. idea. ever.

May 29, 2011: Brian made dinner and even served it on our fine china, which I haven't seen since our first year or two of marriage. This is the dinner that evoked the conversion that led to our impromptu painting spree downstairs.

May 19-27, 2011: Another lull, really the only fun thing we've done is go hiking in Eldorado Canyon with my parents last weekend. My goal this year was to really focus on and savor the small blessings and be content with where I'm at. That's mostly the reason I decided to do this picture-a-day project, it appears I need to get back to really looking at my blessings each day and get back on track.

May 8, 2011: We took Stella to church with us because we were heading to Colorado Springs afterwards (as in, we went to church and she waited in the car- it was a parking garage so don't worry, she wasn't baking in the car) . I suggested we take Stella for a walk down to Confluence Park before we left. She liked the water but didn't want to go out very far so Brian waded out there with her. She kept trying to run back to me and Brian said he was looking for syringes since he was in a 'city river'. Both of them made me laugh.

May 7, 2011: We've had our first casualty. R.I.P. Mr. Squeaky McSqueakerson. He was a loving squirrel and didn't deserve to die via such violence. The murderer, Stella Stoess, got off on account of her adorableness.

Okay, I've officially hit my first slump in my resolution to post a picture every day. I'm actually quite surprised I made it as long as 4 months. I had some pictures but then the camera went missing and I sort of just lost my gumption. We have started a weight loss competition at work and I (somewhat reluctantly) signed up. I would love to lose weight, I just really struggle with being held accountable to it. We had the kick-off today and it got me thinking about myself and my ability to commit to things and I ended up a little depressed. I was hard-pressed to think of any occasion in my life where I thought, "I'm going to start doing this regularly" and then actually stuck to it. The only things I can think of are showering and brushing my teeth. Pretty sad. Anything else I do regularly only seems to work out because it either doesn't feel like choice or I feel obligated. It's easy for me to commit to Brian so it doesn't pose a problem. I fully com
