Camping This Weekend: Aspen's Silver Bell

This weekend we headed to Aspen to camp near the Maroon Bells.

Aspen.
Where the beer flows like wine and where Mother Nature will suddenly turn off the heat without warning.

I'm not exaggerating on the temperature change. One second we were enjoying a nice warm day and just one second later, my teeth were chattering.

In order to not be entirely lazy, we hiked up to Crater Lake. A nice hike and full of nature's eye candy.

By the time we got there and set up camp on Friday, the sun was down.

Tricky lighting for me and my illiteracy with this camera but I still liked the reflection.

Another attempt.

We liked the spot. The Maroon Creek is just down past our blue water container.

Inviting, right?
Maroon Creek just below our camp site. I really love when we get a site with white noise.
On our way to hike up to Crater Lake.
The sky was perfectly blue.

Heading back down.

Are you guys ready for Stella's Glamour Shots?

This is her "old and wise" look.
This is her "pondering whilst looking off into the distance" look.
And this is her "I am a fun-loving girl who loves long walks in the mountains" look.
Hope you all had a nice weekend. Welcome to June!
