June 24- July 1, 2011: I feel like this picture sums up the past week. This is a nice hairball that Chuck left for me right by my pillow (I spared you a close-up) and I didn't even have the energy to really care. Things at work have been busy which means I've done a whole lot of talking = an exhausted Jaime. BUT, it's Friday and I have a 3 day weekend.

P.S. here's my favorite moment from today:

Student worker: I have a joke, what's a pirate's favorite letter?

Co-worker: P? or maybe F because they have flags?

For those of you who are lost, their favorite letter is R, duh

Anywho, that made my day. And with that, I'm off to the gym.

PS: i concur with all your likes except: justin timberlake (i was a JC fan) and the rockies (not really a sports fan....i also TOTALLY agree with all your dislikes except: tomatoes (love them) I am really glad I got to see you this summer! It's fun to be Face-to-Face and not just Face-book! :p

Infertility. It's the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about until it's over and you can look back, now relieved that it was something you used  to deal with. I've always thought about how I can't wait until our bout with infertility is over so I can finally share our story; but right now I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel and I kind of want to talk about it now. It's something that's on my mind every day and it seems weird that it's something I don't share with people. It's a very lonely battle but I think part of that is our own fault for not talking about it. {Any talk of infertility involves being open and honest about sex so if that makes you uncomfortable, you've been warned.} Brian and I have not been able to conceive, and it sucks. Nostalgia

Last night I went bowling with some friends at Elitch Lanes. It was the first time I'd been back to the area where the original Elitch Gardens Amusement Park used to be and I have to admit, it was a pretty nostalgic and sad moment for me. Roller coasters are a big deal in my family. Anywhere we go, if there is a roller coaster nearby we hunt it down and conquer it. We went to Elitch Gardens at least once every spring/summer and used any excuse to go. I went with my girl scout troop, I went with my closest friends, I went with my family, I went there on school field trips. I always looked forward to the long trek to Denver to visit my favorite place. At the risk of sounding dramatic, Elitch's was more than just an amusement park for me.
